Faith and Trust
Faith, Trust, and the Instincts God Already Gave You

Faith, Trust, and the Instincts God Already Gave You
What if everything you needed to navigate this life was already placed inside of you?
I believe it was. I believe God, in His infinite wisdom, didn't send us here empty. He equipped us. He wired us with instincts, with discernment, with an inner knowing that when we're still enough to hear it will never lead us astray. That quiet nudge in your spirit? That's not anxiety. That's not overthinking. That is a gift from God, placed inside of you on purpose, for purpose.
But here's where so many of us, myself included, get lost. We have access to one of the greatest gifts He gave us and we don't use it. We second-guess it. We ask everyone else what they think before we go to him. We silence the very instinct he designed to protect us, guide us, and keep us aligned with the path he already prepared.
He made us wise, he made us discerning, he made us capable of sound judgment, and yet we walk around doubting ourselves like we weren't created by the same God who spoke the world into existence. That hit me differently when I finally sat with it. The truth is that faith and trust are not separate things. They walk together. When you truly have faith in God, you begin to trust what he placed inside of you. You stop shrinking from your own instincts because you recognize them as his voice, His guidance, his hand moving in your life. Trusting yourself, at its deepest level, is an act of trusting him.
The more I've leaned into my faith, the more confident I've become in my own judgment. Not because I think I have all the answers, but because I know the one who does, and I know he lives in me. That changes everything. It changes how I make decisions. It changes how I respond to uncertainty. It changes how I walk into rooms, relationships, and seasons I don't fully understand yet.
We spend so much time looking outward for validation, for direction, for reassurance when God already deposited everything we need within us. The wisdom is there. The discernment is there. The answer is often already there. We just have to be still, be faithful, and be willing to trust what he placed inside of us.
Faith is not passive. It is an active, daily choice to believe in God, in his plan, and in the person, he created you to be. And when you start moving from that place, life begins to shift in ways you could never manufacture on your own. So today, I want to encourage you to tap into the gift. Strengthen your faith. Trust the instincts God gave you. He didn't place them in you to be ignored. He placed them in you to be used; he already made you wise. Now walk like it.
